[INTENDED USE]

The Alcohol Rapid Test Strip (Milk) is a rapid, highly sensitive method to detect the presence of alcohol in milk and provide an approximation of relative blood

alcohol concentration.

This test provides a preliminary screen only. A more specific alternate chemical method must be used in order to obtain a confirmed analytical result. Clinical

consideration and professional judgment should be applied to any test screen result, particularly when preliminary positive screens are indicated.

 

[SUMMARY]

It is well established that the concentration of alcohol in milk is comparable to that of blood. The Alcohol Rapid Test Strip (Milk) consists of a plastic strip with

a reaction pad. On contact with solutions of alcohol, the reaction pad will rapidly turn colors depending on the concentration of alcohol present. The pad

Positive: *Two lines appear. One colored line should be in the control

region (C), and another apparent colored line adjacent should be in the test

region (T).

Negative: One colored line appears in the control region (C). No line

appears in the test region (T).

Invalid: Control line fails to appear. Insufficient specimen volume or

incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for control line

failure. Review the procedure and repeat the test using a new test cassette.

If the problem persists, discontinue using the lot immediately and contact

your local distributor.
